The National Biblical Catechetical & Liturgical Centre (NBCLC), Bangalore, organised a five-day seminar on midlife, from 4th to 8th April, 2022. In all there were 25 participants - 5 priests, 17 religious sisters, 1 lay woman & 2 laymen. The program started with lighting of traditional lamp and an invocative prayer. Fr. A. John Baptist, the Director of NBCLC, acquainted the participants about the centre and its activities and gave a brief introduction about Fr. Gabriel Mathias OFM, the resource person. Thereafter, Fr. J. Arul Raj Sampath, the program coordinator and Dy. Director of the Centre, extended a warm welcome to all the participants.

Though the topic is a bit delicate and sensitive, as it was a mixed group of male and female, religious and lay persons, Fr. Gabriel presented it effectively drawing insights from his personal experiences and his deep spiritual discernments. Humour had been a delightful characteristic of his presentation. The power point presentation made the session more attractive and fascinating.

The arrangements for accommodation were perfectly in place and the timely meals, snacks and beverages were well planned, keeping in mind everyone’s health and palate. Thanks to the caretaker of the facilities and all employees, who spared no effort in making the stay a comfortable and enjoyable one!
