The National Biblical, Catechetical and Liturgical Centre (NBCLC), Bengaluru, organized a four-day Training Programme in Word Preaching Ministry (WPM) in Malayalam from 21 to 24 September 2026, with the participation of 40 members from diverse pastoral backgrounds and ministries.

The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. John Baptist, Director of NBCLC, who emphasised the transformative power of the Word of God and encouraged the participants to encounter Scripture as the living Word, allowing it to shape their lives and ministries.

Rev. Dr. Nysson Luka, Assistant Director of NBCLC, served as the resource person, guiding the participants through biblical teachings and practical training sessions. The programme focused on deepening their understanding of Scripture and equipping them with the spiritual and practical skills necessary for effective preaching.

The daily programme included morning prayer, the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, biblical reflections, interactive sessions, group sharing, and practical preaching exercises. Special emphasis was placed on listening to, internalising, and proclaiming the Word of God, drawing inspiration from Mother Mary, who treasured God's Word in her heart.

Eucharistic Adoration, Word-sharing, and intercessory prayer further enriched the participants' spiritual experience, helping them integrate the Word of God into their personal lives and pastoral ministry.

The programme concluded on 24 September 2026 with hearts filled with gratitude and a renewed commitment to proclaim God's Word. The training offered a meaningful blend of biblical formation, spiritual enrichment, and practical preparation, empowering the participants to become more effective proclaimers of the living Word of God in their respective ministries.
