Workshop on Evangelization through Creative Arts
23rd–28th April 2026

"Art speaks where words are unable to explain."

The Workshop on Evangelization through Creative Arts was successfully conducted at NBCLC, Bengaluru, from 23rd to 28th April 2026. The programme brought together enthusiastic participants eager to discover creative ways of proclaiming the Gospel through various art forms.

The workshop began with an inaugural session that introduced the objectives of integrating faith and creativity for effective evangelization. Participants were enriched through insightful sessions on the Biblical and spiritual foundations of art, Church teachings on art, dance as a means of evangelization, and the use of drama and creative expression in communicating Gospel values.

The days were filled with interactive learning and practical training in skit, mono act, mimicry, and musical ministry. Through performances, group activities, and constructive feedback, participants developed their talents while deepening their understanding of evangelization through creative communication. A strong spiritual atmosphere was maintained throughout the programme with daily prayer, Eucharistic celebrations, Rosary, and personal reflection. Recreational activities, film screenings, and community interactions fostered friendship, collaboration, and joyful learning. A vibrant cultural evening on 27th April showcased the creativity and talents of the participants.

The workshop concluded on 28th April with a closing ceremony and thanksgiving. Participants returned to their ministries inspired and empowered to use creative arts as effective instruments of evangelization.

As Pope Francis reminds us, “Every form of authentic art is a path to the deeper reality of humanity and creation.” The workshop successfully combined spirituality and creativity, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended and encouraging them to become joyful messengers of the Gospel through the arts.
